Good Manufacturing Practices

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are the minimums necessary to meet sanitary and processing requirements. They describe the methods, equipment, facilities, and controls required for production. It encompasses the receiving of raw materials, their storage, their usage schedule (FIFO) and the post-processing of the product. The design of your facility is a crucial factor in providing a safe product for your customers. Along with SOPs it is the foundation of your HACCP program.
